Absence From School

Students who are isolating are marked as ‘Learning from Home.’ There is an expectation that schoolwork is completed (if the student is well enough) – this will be using either OneNote or SEQTA or a combination of both.

Students can communicate with teachers via SEQTA to assist them in their learning and teachers will be monitoring their engagement in their learning. No student will be penalised for missing an in-class assessment or test. Assessments that can be completed at home should still be completed if the student is well enough.

We encourage parents/guardians to communicate with the school if there are issues or concerns regarding their child's learning at home. If your child becomes sick and cannot complete work, please let the relevant Dean of Students know.

Pathways Coordinator

I would like to announce that we have appointed Mrs Claire Drabble to the position of Pathways Coordinator at the College. I am delighted Claire has accepted our offer and I believe that she will provide excellent support to our students.

Her office is located in the Counsellors area, next to Student Services and she can be contacted either by parents or students through SEQTA.

It is important for our students to consider which direction they would like to pursue in life and plan the academic program that best supports that direction.

Sara Jennings

I would like to announce that Mrs Sara Jennings has been appointed as short-term Principal at St Clare's School in Lathlain. She will take up her appointment in Term 2 and Term 3, returning to the College in Term 4. We wish her all the best.

College Happenings

I would like to congratulate our staff who have been finding inventive ways to compensate for the restrictions in place. They have managed to provide some Co-curricular learning opportunities for our students and I am delighted at the number of ways they have managed to do so. The best way to keep in touch with what is being offered by our staff is to follow our Instagram (@aranmorecc) of Facebook (aranmorecatholiccollege) social media pages. It has some great shots of students participating in such things as a visiting artist program, swimming for our Year 7 and 12 students, a fundraising day for Ukraine and flood victims to name a few.
