Media Studies

Media is designed for students to embark on their journey of combining their creative skills with technology.  

Students are exposed to the exciting world of film making, camera work and editing. They will learn skills in storyboarding, interview techniques, scripting, filming, editing and marketing.  As they progress through Media they will learn elements of TV drama, documentary and the power of persuasion. 

Students will use Adobe Photoshop to develop their skills in image manipulation and other editing software to create their own productions.  They will learn elements of animation and create their own claymation using iPads and hands-on activities such as building their own sets.  Students get the opportunity to act in the roles of the director, camera operator, actor, sound controller, editor and producer. They also build skills in working individually and effectively within a team.
