2007 TEE Results
It was with great excitement that we received news of the Tertiary Entrance Examination results of the Class of 2007. To have eight students achieve a Tertiary Entrance Rank in the top 5% of students in the State was very pleasing. They were:
| Ancent Gu |
99.35 |
| Miguelle Concepcion |
97.20 |
| Gabi White |
96.85 |
| Madelaine Fisher |
96.05 |
| Thalia Botsis |
95.90 |
| Jessica Stanes |
95.30 |
| Jessica Illich |
95.25 |
| Ben Laidler |
95.05 |
As you can see, the Dux of the College, Ancent Gu was in the top 0.65% of the State – an outstanding performance. In addition Ancent achieved a Certificate of Excellence by gaining ten grades of ‘A’ over the course of Years 11 and 12.
Another student, Madelaine Fisher gained a Certificate of Distinction in Geography. A Certificate of Distinction is awarded to a student who gains a mark in the top 0.5% of students in the State. Another outstanding performance.
Congratulations to all of the above students on achieving such commendable results. We are all very proud of them and their families.

Art Award
Year 12 student Natasha, has been recognized for her artistic talent. She recently won the Runner-up Award in the Youth Category of the 2008 Water Works Art Award and Exhibition.
Natasha’s piece, titled “Flow”, was skillfully created using a little known technique called cold work. This is a time-consuming method of working with glass involving sandblasting and etching. Described by judge Alison Barret as “well crafted” it consists of three wave shaped glass panels set into a timber base. Alison encouraged Natasha to “keep pushing the boundaries of the medium.”
